Safe Families for Children of Greater Portland – Social Media Plan
Project Overview
The sponsor for this project was Safe Families for Children of Greater Portland, which works with families who are in crisis. They create family-like relationships, including safe homes for children to live in temporarily, that give parents space to get their lives back on track until they are in a better place to care for their children again.
Working with a small non-profit organization in terms of staff members helped show me that resources, specifically of time, are scarce.
Creating the social media plan gave the sponsor the framework for their digital outreach efforts and the steps required to implement the plan.
Project Objectives
The overall project objective was to create a social media plan to boost the presence of the organization’s two primary social media channels, Instagram and Facebook.
By improving the effectiveness of these social media channels, the organization will be able to grow the volunteer base, generate donations, and raise awareness of its mission.
